who we are

Vietnam Quilts is a non-profit, community development organisation that aims to give women in rural Vietnam with employment, training and a regular income. Founded in 2001 by the French - Belgian NGO, Vietnam Plus, Vietnam Quilts now employs 150 women with the aim of employing more in the future.

 

what we do

The program creates lasting development, fair remuneration for the women and allows them to work in a safe and comfortable work environment. This regular employment opportunity enables the women to remain in their communities, care for their children and families and often, allows them to save money for the first time in their lives.

The local communities also benefit from the profits generated through Vietnam Quilts, which are reinvested by Vietnam Plus in the rural communities of Duc Linh in the Binh Tuan province, and Long My, in the Mekong Delta. These include scholarships, construction of classes, micro-credit, and health education programs for women, and more.

Our quilters create high quality, handcrafted quilts, homeware items and a range of accessories, including aprons, table sets, cushion covers and hammocks. Every quilt created is unique. There are hundreds of designs and colours to choose from including traditional patchwork, contemporary and Asian designs for both adults and children.
