Creating opportunity for Cambodians with disabilities
Rehab Craft Cambodia (RCC) is a non-profit organization that provides long-term and sustainable employment opportunities for Cambodians with physical disabilities. We provide jobs through the production and marketing of quality handicrafts.
The effects of war and disease have left many Cambodians disabled and vulnerable to economic hardship. Since 1995, Rehab Craft Cambodia has been addressing both the needs and perceptions of disabled artisans by offering skills training and job opportunities needed to build their future. Being an organization run by, and for, disabled Cambodians is a powerful example to those who still believe that disability equals dependence.
what we do
Currently, Rehab Craft employs over 15 producers and 9 staff who work in support, administration and management roles. We also provide a good working environment, retail outlets and general support to the disabled, self-employed wood carvers and jewelry makers. In addition, many independent, disabled artisans make their handicrafts at home and sell their products through our retail shops. All of your purchases benefit our employment programs and offer a better standard of living for disabled persons.
RCC is a local fair trade organization and member of the International Federation for Alternative Trade (IFAT). We pay above-average wages and provide staff benefits and loan programs for individuals, families and emergency needs.
