- Spend a day exploring the ancient temples of Sambor Prei Kuk, about 35km north of Kompong Thom. Entrance fee for foreigners, including a local guide, is US$5 for adults and free for children.
- Browse a variety of products made from bamboo and rattan for sale at the Craft Hut. T-shirts, postcards and other items are also available for purchase.
- Watch bamboo or rattan craft-making at villages along the way to Sambor Prei Kuk.
- Hike or ride a bike around the temple complex. Have a picnic or enjoy local food and do some bird watching.
- Take an oxcart ride around the temples for US$2.50 round trip.
- Experience rural lifestyle on an oxcart or stay longer in a homestay.
