Welcome to Viengxay

Laying to the northeast of Xieng Khouane and the Plain of Jars, Viengxay,  in Houaphanh Province, is a quiet, sleepy town in the middle of a spectacular karst limestone mountain range.  Offering an alternative route from Luang Prabang through to Vietnam and Hanoi, who would have thought this town once housed the 'Hidden City' and is the place to where the Lao PDR can trace its existence from.  Why not stay a few more days and check out one of the most historically significant sites in the modern history of the Lao PDR.
